Dancing with the Stars
I wasn't planning on watching Dancing with the Stars this season. It had gotten too formulaic for my taste....
...star whines that rehearsals are too hard
...pro gets angry and throws a hissy fit
...star cries and stomps out of rehearsal hall
...star comes back and recommits to learning dance routine
...regardless how the routine goes pro says how proud he/she is
repeat the following week.
Then I heard Kirstie Alley was going to be on and she's partnering with the bad boy pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Kirstie's a kick. This should be fun.
Update - Well Kirstie did not disappoint. The woman can move! She looked great and danced like she was loving it. She could win this. Definitely my favorite couple of the night.
I also enjoyed Ralph Macchio (remember The Karate Kid?), and Hines Ward (Pittsburg Steelers' wide receiver). I don't think they're sending anyone home this week, but if they did it would probably be Mike Catherwood or Wendy Williams.
Go Kirstie! I can't wait to see what she does next.

Sneaky Photography
Ever want to take a picture of your kids when they aren't looking, so they don't have those frozen smiles on their faces? Well there's an app for that. It's called SneakyPix. It's set up to look like you are talking on the phone while secretly taking a photo every 5 seconds. I can see where this app could be quite handy. I mean, even my dog Lola rolls her eyes and walks away when I try to take her picture.
I love doing street photography and taking pictures of people looking at art in museums. But it kind of bothers me being sneaky about it. Although there is that little girl, who wanted to be Nancy Drew, still within me that thinks this is awfully cool. What do you think? Is it okay to take pictures without permission?

My Blog is Two Years Old Today!
When I started this blog, I never imagined how much I would love blogging. I have learned so much the last two years. Thanks to all of you who come by to visit. The experience just keeps growing (with the launch of my group blog Coffee On The Patio) and getting better and better. The best parts are all the people I've met and how much joy I've brought into my life by looking for things to post. I hope I am still blogging 20 years from now.
