I belong to a One Photo a Day group on Triibes. We also occasionally have a theme. This week it was to create a self-portrait. I created this in the software Studio Artist. I brought my photo in as the source, used a plain white background and painted with a litho brush. I then brought the image into Photoshop to tweek.
Have you ever made a self portrait? I was feeling pretty resistant doing it, but once I got into it, it was fun. I also think it says more about me than I realized while making it. I do feel like two people a lot. Part of me is pretty serious, plain, down to earth. The other part of me dances the salsa around my kitchen and dreams of taking tango lessons in Argentina.

I've worked w/photoshop but not Studio Artist - I like how your's turned out - you look so vibrant and happy :-)
"the Invisible Age" about sums it up - I'm in my mid-40s and have a real fear of beginning to become invisible - society seems to write off women over 50 which is sad :-(
Carma - Well there are a lot of us, so I figure it's going to be hard to keep us invisible. That's exactly why I started Coffee On The Patio. We still have a lot to say! So glad you are hanging out with us.
