A Day In San Francisco

I have been meaning to post pictures from Richard's and my day in San Francisco for our friend Michael's birthday. We started off at Crissy Field with a fabulous lunch made by Lois. Beautiful day with a clear view to the Golden Gate Bridge and people flying kites on the beach.

We then headed to the Legion of Honor to see the Impressionist Paris: City of Light exhibit. I love Rodin's Thinker which is in the courtyard when you first enter.

And then there was Monet's Water Lilies. I think it is so cool when galleries have a major piece displayed so you can see it framed through several doorways.

One of my favorite exhibits was a collection of ancient glass vases. And I mean ancient. The colors and patina were gorgeous (can you use the word patina with glass or just with metal?)

Such a spectacular day which ended at Pier 39 Bubba Gumps for drinks and appetizers.! A great day in beautiful SF with friends, that ends with margaritas! Oh yeah!
