Win $200 - The Keep On Dancing Project

Win $200 and a blog award for the
Most Enthusiastic Person Dancing Around Their Kitchen During March

It's easy...
Dance around your kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, backyard (wherever in your house) for at least 10 minutes, leave a comment that you danced - and what your mood was before and after. (See mood scale in left column.) A point will be given to you each time you dance and comment.

Additional enthusiasm points will be given for listing great songs to dance to, dancing with your kids, friends and others, when alone dancing with wild abandon, encouraging me and others to dance.

Don't forget to "follow" so we can remind you to dance, pass on songs etc. I feel a party coming on...

I danced what little I could dance in my kitchen (I've got a terrible sore throat) and I must say that I felt better! But just a little. So I'll rate this dance around a 6.

What a great contest! I'm glad I found you. :)

Visiting from SITS.

Pleeaassse give me a point! I danced for (almost) 10 minutes and changed my mood from a 7 to an 8! It really is fun, I don't know why I felt the need to whine!

Aww, you're so sweet to email me and tell me about this, somehow I'd totally missed it! I was dancing in my kitchen earlier today while I was cooking (I'm totally cheating in this contest because I dance ALL THE TIME - well, as long as I'm not doing anything else). Took my mood from about a 6 to an 8 today. I didn't have any music except in my head....

Cynthia at A Shimmy In My Spirit said...

Susan - you go girl...I know I whine about it too and then think...oh yeah this is fun!

Cynthia at A Shimmy In My Spirit said...

Rachel - so glad you are dancing with us. I have a feeling you are going to be inspiring me to get in my kitchen and dance....so thanks Rachel and Susan I am off to shake my bootie!

I danced while I folded laundry. Lady Gaga helped me!!

Cynthia at A Shimmy In My Spirit said...

Yea Erin. Do you think Lady Gaga dances while she folds laundry? :)

Does it count if I shift my shoulders back and forth and make funny facial expressions? I used to dance around the room for 10 mintues before I sat down to write because it helped clear my mind....I'm up for the challange and getting ready to bust a real move.

Cynthia at A Shimmy In My Spirit said...

Jennee - So glad you are going to join us. You bust a move girl!

What a great idea!! I haven't danced yet today but I think i have to share what I did on Feb.28! My mood was probably a...6 before dancing. After dancing (and singing) for 15 min straight to these songs:

Whitney Houston, Million Dollar Bill Black Eyed Peas, I Gotta Feeling (house mix)
and Leona Lewis, Happy (Jason Nevins remix)

I felt like I had reached a 8!!! Winning gold in hockey probably brought me up to a 9 :P

Cynthia at A Shimmy In My Spirit said...

Yea Ana - Hope you will continue dancing with us. We're having a good time..

I danced for about 10 minutes earlier in the week, which kept me dancing all day (even when I was far from music & my kitchen!). Mood approx a sleepy 5 to 7.

And today I did about 20 minutes while I was waiting for cooking, going from I think 7 to 8... maybe 9 :)

Cynthia at A Shimmy In My Spirit said...

Yay Rachel! Keep on Dancing. So fun knowing that you are dancing around your house in the UK while I am dancing around mine in California!

Missed a couple of days - but I'm back! At least I can now do 10 minutes and still breath - the first few days were not pretty!
