Richard and I are taking the day tomorrow to go with our friends Dan and Joan to see the Seahorse exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It's such a great aquarium and did I mention that I love seahorses? I hope to come home with some cool pictures. Did you know that seahorses are the only males in the animal world that get pregnant?

I Love Seahorses
Richard and I are taking the day tomorrow to go with our friends Dan and Joan to see the Seahorse exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It's such a great aquarium and did I mention that I love seahorses? I hope to come home with some cool pictures. Did you know that seahorses are the only males in the animal world that get pregnant?

Just stumbled upon your blog-- I am LOVING it, because my hubby and I are going to your area for our anniversary trip in the spring, and I'm finding it chalk-full of potential places to visit!
I had to laugh at this post about the male seahorses... I wish ALL men could understand what pregnancy and childbirth is *really* about!

That's totally my kind of thing. I realize that nature-oriented things are my favorite things to see, especially aquariums. I find them fascinating, even though I'm a terrible swimming and terrified of water.
Aren't they beautiful creatures! The intricate body design, their color. I didn't know about the male getting pregnant. I guess God tried that out and discovered that males couldn't handle being pregnant as well as women, so he placed that honor on the strong sex, women! lol
that's great - we need to go again soon, my boys will love it!
