A Late Start This Morning

May West, shoes, green, canvas wrapped giclee print
I am getting a late start on my blog this morning. I stayed up way too late last night reading visitors' comments. What a fun day being SITS featured blogger.

Many people posted about dancing around their kitchens. I especially love how moms are dancing with their kids. It seems clear from all of the comments that dancing for a few minutes not only lifts women's moods, but also the moods of their children. I am playing with ideas on how we can encourage each other to dance - even if it's just to one song or for 5 minutes. I love the thought of women all over the world dancing around their kitchens and living rooms.

I couldn't get by yesterday, but I'm here from SITS. Congrats on the feature.

Your picture of the green shoes reminded me of a post I just did on "The Red Shoe"... but anywho! Glad you liked your SITS day... hope you get LOTS of new readers out of it!

I just joined SITS and saw the Featured Blogger piece on you. I love the Mae West quote - she was a pistol! And I plan to do some dancing myself because you're right, it's a fabulous mood booster. And if it'll help me lose a few pounds too ... icing on the cake!

Sounds like you had a wonderful experience being a featured blogger, and I'm thinking you're already inspiring more people to dance!

Just found ya (through SITS, natch!) and love the blog.

I also love dancing in my kitchen. Anywhere, really. Preferably in my underwear, ha! :)

I love this post about dancing. I have always done this at home with the kids. They danced w/me when they were little, then grew up and prefer to watch and laugh. It's all in fun and I hope they dance with their own kids one day. Maybe grandma will join in, too:)
